After a long summer break we're finally back in the bunker. This month has been quite shaky althought it was something of a forced pause. New gear has landed to help us achieve better shootings and a lot of additional horsepower is waiting to be harnessed in post.

Badly for us we couldn't get access to the undergrounds of the Somaglia Castle for safety reasons and so 2012 has been delayed, but the final shooting sessions are coming right next week and still some nasty shit is going to happen. And post production on some shoots is ongoing right now.

As some of you may have seen in other places, efforts for Dead & Breakfast have been rerouted away from their The End to a bigger project which won't be an ordinary music video. We're still writing it, but what can be said for sure is that it will look and feel like an 80's movie filled with not so alive people and memorable characters.

If some of you follow us also on Facebook, you've seen for sure we made a new video in the meantime. It's Lascia che sia by 373°K. We played with some shootings made in the middle of the Alps just to keep us alive and active during this deadly hot month.

The artwork for the album Lie! by Wild Company is finally here. It was our first time with this kind of work and it's been very exciting and we hope it won't be the last. The album is due to release in September.

August will be very hot for the crew: shootings are being planned for You Can Run by Mario Percudani in the second half of that month. If this wasn't enough also 2012 final shootings will take place in a place we saw before. We're going back under the ground of the Somaglia Castle and make some nasty shit happen.

Last but not least The End is a new beginning, another time we're exploring uncharted territory in fact we just entered pre production phase for the first videoclip of Dead & Breakfast in which we explore the world of dreams… or nightmares.

The near future is going to shake us to the bones, new things are being planned and discussed every day.
Last week we began the pre production phase for You Can Run by Italian singer and guitarist Mario Percudani. Needless to say, this modern blues rock piece is going to have a totally different tone from what we made before.

After that we'll embark on a new effort with the melodic rock band Hungryheart, for which a trailer of their new album One ticket to paradise is being designed. Their videoclip instead is still in brainstorming phase, and slowly it'll make its way towards creation.

Kind of unusual for us, we've been asked to create an artwork for the upcoming album Lie from Wild Company. You are probably thinking: "But you make videos... Why the hell are you going to make an artwork for an album?" Simple, it's a matte painting where our skills gained from visual effects and compositing will come into play, mixed with a cool design.

In these two weeks took place some shooting sessions for 2012, each time depicting different situations and using different techinques. We had some good old camerawork in exteriors, interiors and a glimpse of green screen. We are not done yet, the largest piece of this videoclip will be shot this Sunday with many extras to appear in the shot.

2012

No, we're not talking about the Emmerich movie, but the preproduction of a new videoclip for Bid Zogo. For this videoclip a new hunt for extras is going on and quite a lot of days of shooting are being planned. Right now, we say it will be our masterpiece (of course until the next big thing comes around).

It will take right to the day before the Winter Solstice to show us what the Earth and us will be the day before all of this is going to end... or not?

And just for a technical insight, it will be shot on our new Canon DSLR.

The past two days were spent by the crew by the doors of Bologna, in the city of Funo, managing the green screen stuff for the short movie Incontro directed by Paola Ceccarelli.

Shot by Giulio Tarantino and coproduced by PepperLand Studios the movie will be soon in post production, and when we have the final edit, we'll make the magic happen. We are going to take care of all the VFX shots and create the idea the director had in her mind.

The Crew is getting back to work, and this time it's way more serious than before.

Next weeks will be kind of unusual and exciting for us, we've been called as Visual Effects Supervisors for the short movie "Incontro" written and directed by Paola Ceccarelli and coproduced by the label Pepper Land Studio.
Also we'll handle part of the movie post production.

Just to spice things up, some clips of the Svariuss Project trailer will be edited in our super extra secret bunker in the middle of nowhere.

And last, but not least, this Thursday (10th May) our videoclip Selfishness will be presented by Extrema on Rock TV. The show is airing at 14:00 on channel 718 of SKY.

It had begun in December 2009, it ends right now.

Now that the official videoclip for Selfishness is being completed and perfected, we are going to remove our contest entries to prepare the world for the launch. The release date has not been defined yet but we can estimate a couple of weeks from now, and then you'll be able to see it.

Changing subject, an article about us has appeared on the local newspaper "Il Cittadino" where you can get some more insights on us, our work and our mission. If you missed it, it can be read here.

We are talking nonetheless of the legendary italian metal band EXTREMA and the last session of shootings for the upcoming official version of Selfishness.

Early yesterday morning we invaded the Alcatraz club in Milan and set up another green screen on the main stage, where we shot some additonal guitar close-ups. After that, it came the time to get in serious business and shoot the narrative parts. For this part we have to be very grateful to Pietro De Pascalis, a very talented actor who did a wonderful performance.

Now that the Special Edition of Pound For Pound is out, we expect to see this video in the wild very soon, maybe in two weeks. Stay tuned on the Magestic Channel!

The Km 298 rumbled when Let Me Die hit the ground at a supersonic speed. Based on the concept from BID ZOGO and as usually translated in images by us we are all able to see absurdely high skyscrapers, a death with a rusty-but-shiny scythe and a sea of white!

Let Me Die is officially ready, but waiting the 18th May for the official release you can taste a bit from the videoclip with this breakdown of some scenes. Seeing this work in just one minute is a breeze!

Some time has passed from the moment we knew we won the Selfishness contest held by Extrema. In the last days we met the band to discuss further enhancements to our proposal for their upcoming official videoclip which will enforce the Pound For Pound special edition release, scheduled 11th May.

Some day this week we're going to build another green screen set on the stage of the Alcatraz club in Milan for these additional shootings. Wait for more insights in the next days!

Let Me Die is becoming a reality evrey day a little bit more. The editing is substantially finished and the number of clips which make their way in the final video grows every hour. Also almost of the keying is already done, just a handful of scenes are left with some green screens in them. The work is long and hard, but we will make it through.

The official release is already scheduled for the 18th May, at the Km 298 in Lodi.

Today Extrema announced the incoming release of a special version of their album Pound for Pound. The band will present the album in London the 11th of May and the launch is going to be enforced by the official release of our videoclip.

We are very proud for this achievement and we want to thank Extrema for the great chance they gave and everyone who helped to make this happen! Stay tuned for more info!

After two long days of hard work the production of Let Me Die has been finished one week earlier than scheduled. The shootings went smoother than expected and we could shoot all parts of the video in only one day. The music was good, the Bid Zogo members were badass and the extras were as collaborative as we wished.

This time we had a huge space in which we could shoot all the stuff and unwrap the potential of almost everything from our production arsenal.

Now that the production is complete, we have to do all the post production stuff. It will be very long but the way we pictured in our heads will make this worth. We hope in releasing this videoclip in the first half of May.

Preproduction for Let Me Die is rapidly coming to an end, few details are left to be defined but we're getting there. This Sunday the shootings will begin and we're going to shoot on the largest green screen set we've ever used.

During the day we will shoot in three different sessions. The first is going to be the band itself playing, the second is for crowd compositing and the third will be the acting for the narrative sequence which will drive the entire story of the videoclip.

Next shooting session will be the next Sunday where the rest of the narrative sequence is going to become reality.

In the last few days we did a full immersion in the new work Let Me Die by Bid Zogo creating the introduction for this brand new videoclip. Some 3D and compositing work went on and now you can see just a preview frame taken from our bunker.

Just as a reminder, shootings of this video will start on April 11th and probably will be released in May. Stay Tuned!

Here at Magestic Film a lot of things went by behind the scenes, among them, this new layout for the site. We wanted to integrate some features offerred by social networks like Twitter and Facebook, restyle a little and put some more content.

Another thing is that we are moving our target from small scale visual effects to more challenging ones, and we will keep going up this way. We want to do Epic Visual Effects, not just visual effects. We are putting lot of efforts and time to better ourselves and make the best visuals possible every time.

Given this, we are not saying that we are moving to post-production only because also in the production sector a lot of things are going on, more artists are gathering around us, a music video has just been scheduled and some will be defined in the next months.

We are now entering the preproduction phase for the new upcoming videoclip for Let Me Die by Bid Zogo. This will be very challenging because it will involve new techniques never experimented by us, we are going to a new different level this time with integration of computer graphics and live action video.

The shooting had been made by Extremateam, we made all the other fun stuff, like keying, compositing and colour grading.

Two weeks of hard work and dedication had given birth to this new grindcore videoclip. It all started with a TV wall, we only beefed up that idea a bit. Here we proudly present Atomic Reporter from Nuclear Devastation. Please enjoy (and share) with a helmet.

This is the question that has obsessed our fans for weeks, and here the Magestic comes around: by the end of December you'll have all the answers.

Only few days are left before the end of the post production for the videoclip "Atomic Reporter" by the italian grinders "Nuclear Devastation", the official release is at hand. The team is very proud of the results accomplished for their most visual and technical advanced piece of art.

In the mean time other projects saw the light: the San Sisto Bowling and Casino website, which will be made entirely in flash, has just entered the design phase.
